Title: Valentine V1 Installation

Published Date: March 30, 2007

Problem:
How and where to mount my Valentine V1 that was both secure, functional and did not detract from the RTs clean crisp lines.

Solution:
I installed the Valentine V1 on my BMR shelf. The installation was standard and I followed the recommendations of BMR expect for where to mount the Remote Audio Adapter. I chose to mount my Remote Audio Adapter under the main part of the BMR shelf. This was mainly to help hide the device and keep it more weather proof. Once the Remote Audio Adapter is configured and adjusted, there is not need to make any further adjustments. In fact, I place a clear piece of scotch tape on the control knob to keep it from moving and falling out of adjustment.

The one lesson I learned from my V1 installation on my previous LT, was to use only factory quality audio cables, even though the V1 is mono output (no stereo). The Autocom came with one 3.5mm audio cable and I purchased two right angle connectors to further dress the installation from Radio Shack.
