Comments:
On the
way to Reno on Friday afternoon, a brush fire broke out in Verdi, Nevada
and the fire could be seen (and felt) from I-80. The smoke quickly
covered most of downtown Reno during the event registration.
Friday evening a group of 11 riders went to dinner at
Ruby Red's Steakhouse and the food was outstanding along with the
drinks.
The ride was held in perfect weather and the 250 mile
(short) course was a nice ride across I-80 down to the California
foothills (Grass Valley) and back down Hwy 395 from the north. The ride
from Sattley CA (off of Hwy 89) up to Hwy 70 was some
excellent riding. Our group was the first group back at about 12:30pm.
The plaque the Blue Knights provided was an excellent surprise at the
end of the ride. Much better than another coffee cup or pin.
